Garden State Renovations has grown tremendously and we are proud to showcase and offer new construction for homes and additions. Typically clients are interested in having additions built in order to accommodate an expanding family.
What are the most popular additions?
Our most popular additions are new bedrooms for a growing family, a master bedroom suite, and an attached cabana which usually includes a small kitchen and bath. Some clients will also request a family room addition at the back of the house. We’ll work with you to choose flooring, windows, doors, hardware, paint colors, trims and tile and bath fixtures. We can also supply you with our new homes and additions checklist that details the incidentals that may be overlooked by you and the architect. We get you involved in every step of the process from planning to completion.
Home addition cost
While it’s hard to gauge a price for additions unless there are supplied architectural plans, in order to assess the prices for raw materials, typically prices start at $75,000 and up. We’ll work with your budget to help you create an addition that works for your family.
Home add-on timeline
Timeline with permits from start to finish is about six to eight months whereas a new home will be about twelve months. At GSR we’re pros at working with you and your architect in order to maximize your space and give you the greatest benefit for your money.
Are materials more expensive these days?
Although the current macroeconomic situation has resulted in higher costs for raw materials and greater lead times for windows and doors, we can use our contacts in the industry to make these purchases directly from the manufacturer in order to give you the most competitive price.
Are home additions worth it?
Absolutely! Adding new space increases property and resale value. In terms of value, adding a second or third floor on top of your house will add the most value. But you’ll also add sizable home value by adding additional rooms and bathrooms to existing floors.
