What services do you provide as a general contractor?

We provide a wide range of services including turnkey projects, new construction, interior fit-outs, full remodels, site improvements and all types of home renovations and home improvement projects. We assist with consultation, site evaluation, design assistance, estimating and planning, permit processing, scheduling, project management, coordination as well as inspection and testing. These services are essentials for most small and large projects. We are responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment and services need to complete the project.

Do you give free estimates?

What is involved in a free estimate?

We’ll come to your home at your convenience where you’ll get a free consultation with Marshall Gemal, owner of Garden State Renovations, who will assess the project in detail for a comprehensive evaluation. Together we’ll create a vision and plan for the project from start to finish. You’ll leave with a line by line cost estimate of the renovation as well as a detailed timeline and a deeper understanding of what is needed to make your home renovation dreams a reality.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are insured with general liability insurance and we have a New Jersey home improvement license issued by the state. Our home improvement license number is 13VH03890100.

Do you charge by the hour or the job?

We estimate and charge by the job.

Do I need to purchase my own materials?

No, you do not need to purchase your own materials. We supply all of the construction materials and we take care of all deliveries. We even offer free shopper services where one of our expert tradespeople will go with you to purchase tile, appliances, kitchen cabinets and bathroom fixtures to suit your individual tastes.

Can I choose my own materials?

Yes! If there’s a specific material that you prefer instead of what we’re supplying, you can choose to pay for it yourself in which case we can deduct it from the cost of materials that we’re supplying or we can add the difference to the cost of the original price of the material.

How do I pay for services?

We accept checks, credit cards, bank transfers, Paypal, Venmo and Zelle.

Are there any other services that you provide?

Yes, we offer free shopper services where we can go shopping with you to help you choose materials for your project. Additionally, we can supply you with Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of what your space will look like after the renovation. We also provide photos of our progress for our customers who aren’t living in the house day to day.

Do you work nights and weekends?

Yes, we often work night and weekends. We know the importance of hitting your deadline and our team is well trained to work quickly and efficiently to keep costs down and complete the project in a timely manner. Since we have a strong team of experienced professionals in place and ready to work, we are able to complete our home improvement projects 15% faster than most companies, on average.

What are your terms?

We generally prefer a 30% deposit on the day that we start and ask for subsequent progress payments as the job moves on. And finally, full payment of the balance when the job is completed to your satisfaction. However, we are flexible and can work with you to create a payment schedule that best suits your needs.

How much does kitchen remodeling cost?

That all depends on the size of your kitchen and the materials you choose but call us and we can help create a kitchen plan that is within your budget.
